English translation (for reference)

This is a translation of the Korean policy above. The Korean version governs.

Sangsangsquare Co., Ltd. ("the Company") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and other applicable laws. This policy explains how the Company protects the personal information of users of the Smart Lock service.

Article 1 (Publication)

Article 2 (Purposes and items collected)

The Company processes only the minimum personal information needed to provide the service.

Article 3 (Children under 14)

The Company does not accept sign-ups from children under 14. Sign-up requires confirming that you are 14 or older. If the Company learns it has collected a child's data, the account is closed and the data destroyed without delay.

Article 4 (Provision to third parties)

Personal information is processed only within the scope of Article 2 and provided to third parties only with your consent or where required by law. If you consent to personalized ads, the following is provided to Google LLC (AdMob) for personalized advertising and ad measurement: advertising identifier (ADID, IDFA), device model, OS version, app version, language and country settings, approximate location from IP address, and ad impression and click data, retained for 18 months. Consent is given on the personalized-ads consent screen shown at first launch; on iOS, the IDFA is provided only if you also allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You may decline without any limitation on the service; you will then see non-personalized ads, for which the device model, OS version, app version and IP address are sent to Google LLC (AdMob) as a processor under Article 5.

Article 5 (Processors)

Processors retain data until the processing agreement ends. Agreements include the restrictions and safeguards required by Article 26 of the Personal Information Protection Act, and the Company supervises processors' handling.

Article 6 (Cross-border transfer)

Server data is stored in the Google Cloud Platform Seoul region (asia-northeast3), but because the contracting party is Google LLC, a US company, and data may be accessed from abroad for technical support, this is treated as a cross-border transfer to the United States (recipient contact: googlekrsupport@google.com). Server data is transferred continuously during its retention period; SDK data is sent over the network during app use. Items, purposes and retention: Google Cloud Platform (all server-stored items, infrastructure and storage, until the retention period in Article 7 ends); Firebase Crashlytics (crash diagnostics, device model, OS version, app version; 90 days); AdMob non-personalized ads (device model, OS version, app version, IP address; 18 months); AdMob personalized ads with consent (advertising identifier, language and country settings, IP-based approximate location, impression and click data; 18 months). Legal basis: Article 28-8(1)(3)(a) of the Personal Information Protection Act for processing and storage necessary to perform the contract, and Article 28-8(1)(1) (separate consent) for personalized ads. You may decline personalized ads as described in Article 10; other transfers are necessary to provide the service and can be avoided only by deleting your account.

Article 7 (Destruction)

Personal information is destroyed without delay once its retention period ends or its purpose is fulfilled. On account deletion, account information and lock usage records are deleted immediately. Purchase records are kept separately for 5 years from the purchase date, support records for 3 years, and access logs for 90 days, then destroyed. Electronic files are permanently deleted by irrecoverable means; printed materials are shredded or incinerated.

Article 8 (Your rights)

You may request access, correction, deletion or suspension of processing at any time through the in-app contact email or the privacy officer below, and the Company will act without delay. You can delete your account directly from the Settings screen; data is then handled under Article 7. You can reset your advertising identifier or limit personalized ads in your device settings.

Article 9 (Security measures)

Administrative measures (internal management plan, minimal and designated staff, regular training), technical measures (access control, access log retention and review, encryption, security software), and physical measures (access control to storage locations), in accordance with Article 29 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Article 10 (Behavioral information and ads)

For personalized ads, the Google AdMob SDK collects the advertising identifier and ad impression and click data, retained for 18 months. The personalized-ads consent screen is shown at first launch and behavioral information is used only if you consent; on iOS the IDFA is collected only if you allow tracking in the ATT prompt, and in regions where the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form appears you can also choose there. To withdraw consent or delete your identifier: in the app Settings screen; on Android, Settings > Privacy > Ads > Delete advertising ID; on iOS, Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track.

Article 11 (Privacy officer)

Privacy officer: Seungho Choi · twoong.yoon@gmail.com · +82-70-4077-3030. Inquiries, complaints and remedy requests are answered and handled without delay.

Article 12 (Remedies)
